Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Luma AI announced it will open a new office in Riyadh to strengthen its regional presence, deepen partnerships, and support the development of Arabic-native artificial intelligence models tailored to the Saudi and wider MENA markets. As per the company’s press release, the Riyadh office will play a central role in Luma AI’s collaboration with HUMAIN, particularly through HUMAIN Create, the generative AI platform focused on building the world’s first Saudi-developed, Arabic-native foundation model.
Through this collaboration, Luma AI’s models will be trained on Arabic language and regional datasets, enabling public- and private-sector users to deploy AI systems that reflect local language, culture, and creative context.
The company said the new office will function as a regional hub for client engagement, partnerships, and advanced AI development. As part of the expansion, Luma AI plans to recruit local talent across AI and software engineering, go-to-market roles, and forward-deployed creative and technical teams serving customers across Saudi Arabia and the broader MENA region.
HUMAIN indicated that the collaboration is supported by frontier compute capacity through Project Halo, a large-scale 2GW AI supercluster under development in Saudi Arabia, designed to power next-generation training and inference at scale.
