
Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: Lulu Hypermarket group is moving confidently towards its expansion goals at it plans to inaugurate 100 new hypermarkets in Saudi Arabia, the Chairman and Managing Director of Lulu Group, Yusuff Ali, announced.
Ali added that the group also plans to employ 10,000 Saudis, raising the number from 3,000 employees. He further noted that the group is not only employing Saudi nationals, but it also trains them in IT field.
Ali made these remarks on the sidelines of the opening ceremony of Lulu’s logistics center in King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC), covering a total space of 100,000 square meters.
`The Chairman highlighted the reforms and transformations that Saudi Arabia made to ease establishing businesses, in addition to other procedures including investment policies and eased restrictions on visas.
He added that all of these changes that happened in the Kingdom, including the removal of some restrictions, attract investors to invest in Saudi Arabia.
Ali said that the Kingdom started to produce a lot of products locally, which is considered a chance for investors to invest in local products, saying: “[…] in our Lulu, we are encouraging the local product a lot.”
Recently, Lulu Hypermarket opened a new branch in Al Othaim Mall among its plan to expand in Saudi Arabia.
