Cisco solidifies presence in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: Cisco, the multinational digital communications technology conglomerate, announced establishing its regional headquarters in Riyadh at LEAP 2024 after obtaining the license from the Ministry of Investment.

The company also launched a new phase of its Country Digital Acceleration (CDA) Program in a bid to solidify its long-standing presence in Saudi Arabia.

The Riyadh office will support Cisco’s operations in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region and underscore the company’s commitment to accelerating the Kingdom’s digital transformation.

The new phase of the CDA Program will align with the goals of the Saudi Research and Development National Strategy, focusing on health and wellness, a sustainable environment and affordable supply of essential needs, energy and industrial leadership, and economies of the future.

Salman Faqeeh, Managing Director of Cisco Saudi Arabia, affirmed that Cisco’s announcements reinforce the company’s commitment to support the digital ecosystem in the Kingdom.

He said: “I am proud of what we have achieved through our longstanding presence in the Kingdom, and via our active programs like CDA and Cisco Networking Academy, and I am looking forward to more milestones.”

Meanwhile, Guy Diedrich, Senior Vice President and Global Innovation Officer at Cisco, commented: “As we enter the next chapter of our commitments in Saudi Arabia, we look forward to once again, lend our expertise, resources, and global network, to help the Kingdom’s transition into a vibrant, diverse digital economy.”

For her part, Reem Asaad, Vice President for Cisco Middle East, Türkiye, Africa, Romania, stated that Cisco’s ongoing investments in Saudi Arabia’s growing digital economy contribute to the rapid integration of technology across all sectors to drive innovation, enhance efficiency, and foster economic growth.

LEAP 2024, the most-attended tech event in the world, takes place in Riyadh from 4 to 7 March to showcase government AI initiatives and the latest innovations.
