
Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Riyadh Air signed a major contract with Saudi Ground Services Company (SGS) to provide ground handling services across airports in Saudi Arabia.
As per the company’s press release, the deal, worth approximately SAR 500 million, starts in March 2025 and will run for three years, with an option to extend for two more years.
Under the agreement, SGS will deliver essential ground services for Riyadh Air flights, including ramp handling and passenger terminal operations, ensuring smooth, efficient, and high-quality service for travelers.
The signing took place at Riyadh Air’s headquarters, attended by senior executives from both sides, including Adam Boukadida, Riyadh Air CFO and Mohammed Mazi, SGS CEO.
Boukadida highlighted that the deal builds on a previous collaboration in August 2024, reinforcing Riyadh Air’s readiness for its 2025 launch. Mazi expressed appreciation for Riyadh Air’s trust, calling the partnership a key addition to SGS’s growing client base.
The partnership supports Riyadh Air’s broader mission to elevate Saudi Arabia’s aviation sector, contribute SAR 75 billion to non-oil GDP, create over 200,000 jobs, and enhance the global competitiveness of Saudi businesses.
Riyadh Air is set to begin operations in 2025, with plans to connect the Kingdom to more than 100 destinations by 2030—positioning Riyadh as a global aviation hub under Vision 2030.
