Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: The Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) announced signing three memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with the Saudi Export Development Authority (Saudi Exports) and leading global shipping lines MSC, Maersk, and CMA CGM, on the sidelines of the Made in Saudi Arabia 2025 Exhibition.

As per Mawani’s press release, the agreements form part of Mawani’s efforts to strengthen Saudi exporters’ access to global markets by building an integrated logistics ecosystem linked to international ports through major shipping networks. The partnerships aim to support the international expansion of Saudi-made products while enhancing supply chain efficiency and reliability.

Under the MoUs, the parties will cooperate on providing integrated and innovative logistics solutions to facilitate the export of Saudi products, improve the availability of empty containers at the Kingdom’s ports, and ensure exporters have sufficient inventory to meet international demand. The agreements are also designed to reduce delivery times and raise confidence in the quality of Saudi exports across global markets.

The cooperation will focus on key ports including Jeddah Islamic Port, King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam, and Jubail Commercial Port, alongside performance automation initiatives to improve logistics operations and export handling.

In addition, the MoUs support joint initiatives aligned with Saudi Vision 2030, including workshops, conferences, and exhibitions aimed at building exporters’ capabilities, assessing satisfaction with logistics services, and promoting Saudi exports globally. The partnerships will also enable the exchange of logistics data, best practices, and expertise to enhance export efficiency and accelerate supply chains.

The agreements align with the National Transport and Logistics Strategy, which seeks to position Saudi Arabia as a global logistics hub by strengthening connectivity, improving operational performance, and supporting the growth of non-oil exports.
