Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: First Abu Dhabi Bank extended its long-standing collaboration with Temenos to modernize its core banking and payments infrastructure in Saudi Arabia, as part of its expansion strategy in the Kingdom.
Under the new engagement, FAB will implement Temenos’ cloud-native Core Banking, Payments Hub, and Data Hub solutions to support its Islamic banking operations, as per a press release by Temenos. The upgrade is expected to enhance scalability, strengthen regulatory compliance, and enable the bank to deliver Shari’ah-compliant services across retail, SME, and corporate segments.
The move builds on a partnership spanning more than a decade, with FAB already operating Temenos systems across multiple markets. The latest deployment reflects the bank’s focus on aligning with local regulations while accelerating its digital transformation and governance standards in Saudi Arabia.
FAB indicated that the initiative supports its broader growth ambitions in line with Vision 2030, aiming to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency. Meanwhile, Temenos highlighted that its regional expertise and track record with Islamic banks were key factors in expanding the collaboration.
