
Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: The second edition of the Amad Fintech Hackathon, organized by alinma Bank in partnership with Tuwaiq Academy, secured a Guinness World Record as the world's largest fintech hackathon, gathering more than 6,000 participants, both online and in-person, and over 2,800 teams from across Saudi Arabia.
Building on the success of the inaugural edition, which was the largest hackathon held in Riyadh, the 2026 edition reinforced its role as a key driver of fintech innovation in Saudi Arabia and beyond, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Through its ‘Amad’ sustainability and social responsibility program, alinma Bank launched the Amad Fintech Hackathon to foster competition in providing innovative and sustainable financial solutions to develop the Saudi financial sector and enhance customer experience.
The Amad Fintech Hackathon covers five tracks: financial inclusion, financial innovation, digital payments, financial literacy, and financial analytics. Participants had the opportunity to develop technology solutions that accelerate the development of the Saudi financial sector in the Kingdom, with total prizes exceeding SAR 500,000.
