Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: Aramco Ventures, Aramco’s corporate venturing arm, co-led a $20 million seed funding round for Twin1 AI, a leading provider of AI-powered digital twins, alongside Bessemer Venture Partners and Tribeca Venture Partners.
Emerging from stealth mode, Twin1 AI will use the funding to develop its core technology, invest in go-to-market efforts, and expand its teams in the US and UK, according to the official statement.
Twin1 AI builds the coordination and trust layer for enterprise AI, connecting every professional with an AI-powered digital twin that preserves their judgment, relationships, and context, and scales their expertise across the organization.
The digital twins are grounded in the user's work context, including emails, meetings, documents, and workplace systems. This helps users control what data the twin accesses and how that context is shared, keeping knowledge human, permission-aware, and firmly under their control.
Lewis Liu, co-founder and CEO of Twin1 AI, said: “Twin1 gives every professional a digital twin that preserves and amplifies their knowledge, judgment and voice, while keeping privacy, permissions, and human agency at the core. We are building a future where expertise compounds, rather than collapses into the average.”
In turn, Daniel Carter, managing director of Aramco Ventures US, commented: “Serving the world’s largest and most highly regulated enterprises requires far more than checking the standard security and compliance boxes. The Twin1 team of repeat founders combines a deep understanding of how these organizations operate and their AI governance needs with the experience required to make AI work in the enterprise.”
The seed funding witnessed participation from EJF Ventures, Tin Alley Ventures, AGI House Ventures, Neo, F-Prime, Btech Consortium, Antiportfolio Ventures, Lakestar, Notion Capital, and Insiders, along with several existing and angel investors.
