Cairo – Sharikat Mubasher: Clay, an Egyptian-born AI-powered platform, announced it has raised $115 million in a Series D funding round at a valuation of $7.1 billion, as the company expands its efforts to automate revenue generation through artificial intelligence.
According to the company’s press release, Wellington Management led the round, with participation from Sequoia Capital, StepStone Group, Andreessen Horowitz, Perennial, Meritech, DST Global, CapitalG, BoxGroup, boldstart ventures, Bloomberg Beta, and Evolution Equity Partners.
The company said more than 17,000 teams use its platform, including Anthropic, SpaceX, Google, OpenAI, Stripe, Visa, and UPS, while 80% of the Forbes AI 50 companies are among its users.
Clay initially focused on providing data about companies before expanding into infrastructure for running campaigns across email, advertising, and landing pages. It is now developing AI agents that analyze campaign results, identify the next best actions, and improve performance over time.
Alongside the funding, Clay announced a $1 million GTME scholarship fund to support people entering the field. The company also plans to unveil its vision for “Agentic GTM” at SCULPT on 8 October.
