Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Hotel101 Global signed a joint partnership agreement with Horizon Group to lead the brand’s entry into Saudi Arabia, marking a major step in its global growth strategy.
The deal includes plans to develop up to 10,000 hotel rooms across the Kingdom, an investment projected to reach around $2.5 billion, as stated in a recent press release.
The first five locations have already been identified, starting with Medina, followed by Riyadh, Jeddah, Abha, and AlUla. The Saudi expansion is part of Hotel101’s broader ambition to standardize hotel experiences worldwide through its “one room” model, offering identical units globally to ensure consistent quality and efficiency in the value segment.
The partnership combines Hotel101’s asset-light condo-hotel model and streamlined HappyRoom concept with Horizon Group’s local market knowledge and strong regional networks.
In 2023, Saudi Arabia crossed the 100 million visitor mark, welcoming 27 million international tourists and 79 million domestic travelers, with total tourism spending reaching $67 billion. The Kingdom aims to attract over 150 million tourists by 2030, presenting significant opportunities across hospitality, retail, food and beverage, and transport sectors.
