
Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: Wipro Limited, a leading AI-powered technology services and consulting company headquartered in India, won a multi-year strategic contract from the Saudi Electric Company - National Grid SA to implement a Smart Meter Data Management (MDM) system for the transmission network in Saudi Arabia.
This project is expected to modernize the client’s meter data platform, enhance operational efficiencies, and manage risks in the best way possible, Wipro announced in a recent statement.
Under the contract, Wipro will design, develop, implement, and support the infrastructure and smart applications for the new MDM system, which will improve grid stability by providing real-time data on power flow, voltage, and equipment data.
Wipro will enable the Saudi company to improve its grid planning through intelligent forecasting and reporting, thereby supporting proactive maintenance, faster fault identification, and enhancing visibility of energy usage patterns.
