Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Exel by Merak and Saudi Bridge signed a strategic cooperation agreement to support international gaming startups and strengthen Saudi Arabia’s fast-growing digital gaming sector.
The agreement aims to help global companies participating in the Exel Gaming Accelerator enter and expand in the Saudi market, as per a recent press release. The signing took place in the presence of Prince Fahad bin Mansour bin Nasser Al Saud, along with Abdullah Altamami, Merak Capital CEO.
The partnership aligns with Biban 2025 initiatives to promote international collaboration and position Saudi Arabia as a regional and global hub for digital gaming. Both entities aim to attract investment, support knowledge transfer, and build stronger links between local and international innovation ecosystems in support of Vision 2030.
Exel has been expanding its role in the sector, having hosted its first Demo Day earlier this year, featuring 17 gaming startups. The accelerator launched its second cohort this November, continuing efforts to advance the Kingdom’s gaming industry.
