
Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: BinDawood Holding is set to expand its operations across all its business segments in the coming years.
Ahmad BinDawood, CEO of BinDawood Holding Co., told Asharq Business that the group aims to open 500 branches of "Dash Danube" and "Dash BinDawood" over the next seven years. These new stores will feature smaller formats, ranging from 50 to 800 square meters.
In the distribution sector, the company is looking to acquire new businesses to scale its operations.
Regarding the recent acquisition of Zahra Al Rawda Pharmacies, BinDawood confirmed plans to open 40 to 50 new pharmacy branches within the next two years. These will be located inside BinDawood and Danube stores, as well as stand-alone locations.
Yesterday, BinDawood announced the completion of its acquisition of 100% of Zahra Al Rawda Pharmacies for SAR 441.1 million, with the final transaction amount adjusted according to the sale and purchase agreement.
BinDawood also revealed plans to expand in the pharmacy sector by launching independent pharmacy branches, integrating pharmacy sections within its retail stores, and enhancing online pharmaceutical sales.
