Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: South Korean AI chip startup Rebellions Inc. announced establishing its office in Riyadh as part of its expansion into the Middle East.
According to the company’s announcement on LinkedIn, the new office will act as an operations hub, supporting chip supplies tailored to Saudi Aramco, following a $14.4 million investment the state-run oil giant made in the company last year.
Rebellions said it is also in discussions with Saudi telecom operators and IT firms to broaden its partnerships and diversify its portfolio. The company is eyeing opportunities within Saudi Arabia’s national AI programs, which seek to build large-scale infrastructure to support the Kingdom’s digital transformation.
Park Sung-hyun, Chief Executive, described the Riyadh unit as a launchpad for meeting growing regional demand for sovereign AI solutions.
