Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: The total number of existing factories in Saudi Arabia reached 12,564 in August, showing a humble increase compared to 12,519 licenses in July.

A recent report by the National Industrial and Mining Information Center revealed that the Ministry of Industry issued 144 new industrial licenses in August with investments worth SAR 16.3 billion. These licenses are expected to create 2,581 jobs in different regions across the Kingdom.

Nearly 113 factories started production in the same month, with investments amounting to SAR 14.2 billion, creating more than 8,410 new job opportunities.

These figures reflect the transformative expansion the Saudi industrial sector is witnessing, backed by government support, infrastructure development, and investment incentives for economic diversification and global competitiveness.
