Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: Tabby, the Saudi-based fintech company and one of the leading buy now, pay later (BNPL) platforms in the region, successfully closed a $233 million Series F funding round at a $6.5 billion valuation.

The round, announced during Money20/20 Middle East, was led by Blue Pool Capital, with participation from existing shareholders HSG, Wellington Management, and Arbor Ventures, according to the official statement released today.

Tabby will use the new funding to accelerate its next growth stage by expanding beyond its BNPL offering into broader financial services in Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

Over the past years, Tabby has secured licenses to expand its financial services to customers and businesses. This included the consumer and SME finance licenses from the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) and the acquisition of Tweeq, a SAMA-licensed digital wallet.

Hosam Arab, CEO and co-founder of Tabby, said: "We began with a button at an online checkout to help people spread costs over time. Everything since, every product and every license, has come back to the same idea: people deserve more from their money. This round means we can build further on that, without changing how we think about growth or discipline."

Tabby highlighted that the transaction remains subject to applicable regulatory approvals, including SAMA’s approval.

Money20/20 Middle East 2026 takes place in the Saudi capital from 14 to 16 September, connecting global financial leaders with the companies, institutions, and policymakers shaping the next phase of financial services in Saudi Arabia and across the region.

It brings together over 600 investors, more than 350 brands, over 350 speakers, and more than 150 startups, reinforcing Riyadh’s growing role as a meeting point for the global and regional financial ecosystem.
