
Dubai – Sharikat Mubasher: noon payments announced a partnership with Mastercard to enable acceptance of Jaywan, the UAE’s domestic card scheme, through Mastercard Gateway.
The capability, available through Mastercard Merchant Cloud, will allow customers to use Jaywan cards for online transactions across noon payments’ digital payments ecosystem, according to a recent press release. It will also give merchants and payment partners access to local and international payment methods through a single gateway.
Commenting on this, Prakriti Singh, executive vice president, core payments, Mastercard, EEMEA, said the collaboration supports the UAE’s vision for a more inclusive digital economy by giving consumers greater payment choice while strengthening local payment infrastructure.
Meanwhile, Mosam Gadia, SVP, noon payments, said the partnership reflects the company’s focus on combining global networks with local payment solutions and making payments simpler and more accessible.
Andrea Cianchetti, Chief Products Officer at al Etihad Payments, described the launch of e-commerce acceptance for Jaywan as a key milestone for the domestic card scheme.
Introduced in 2024, Jaywan is designed to provide a payment experience tailored to UAE consumers while supporting the development of the country’s digital payments infrastructure.
